We have had the pleasure of using a selection of baits from Online Baits UK recently. Having been out on a few trips to different venues we have had a great opportunity to try these baits out. In the past there has been a lot of scepticism regarding the worthiness of frozen and preserved bait, leading to a lot of anglers disregarding it.

Need a new headlight?We have been out and tested the latest rechargeable single LED headlights from LED Lenser, the H7R (170 Lumens) and the H14R (220 Lumens). A comparison of the two new offerings and an older LED Lenser Pro LED 3 bulb (80 Lumens) headight to show how they have advanced with their new ultra bright, low energy LED technology.

 Junior club record Plaice | New junior club record!Mulletmad and his son Mullet580 set off on Sunday in search of a Plaice. With the rain and otherwise unpleasant weather they got to their venue and found themselves alone. Facing the inclement weather paid dividends as between them the caught three Plaice and a fantastic Ballan Wrasse. Mullet580's second Plaice was a formidable catch and later weighed in at 2lb-13oz-8dr which beat the previous Brixham Sea Anglers Club junior record set in 1972. A fantastic day's fishing for the pair and a worthy bonus point for the species hunt for both of them.

| Species hunt update!
Plaice is the March bonus species.
The Thornie proved to be difficult to find in February, hopefully there will be a few more Plaice found this month! The January Dab was caught by, Mulletmad, Nigpol, sw-c-fisher, Saltyseadawg and Lesterpester, all awarded their bonus point. Nigpol was the only competitor to catch the February Thornback which was a surprise as many tried for one! For an up to date account of the current league table click here!
